Peter J. Canal, Executive Director

Peter Canal is the Executive Director of the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been with the Authority since 2008.  Prior to his promotion as Executive Director in 2019, he was the Chief Engineer for the BRSA and handled all Capital and Developer projects, including many Sandy Repairs and Mitigation projects.  Prior to his employment at BRSA, he worked for the Jackson Township Municipal Authority and Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority.  He has over 25 years’ experience working in the water and wastewater industry.  Pete earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds NJDEP Operator’s Licenses for C-3 Public Sewer Collections, S-2 Public Sewage Treatment, T-3 Public Water Treatment and W-3 Public Water Distribution.  Pete also completed the Association of Environmental Authorities (AEA) Environmental Professional Development Academy (EPDA).  The EPDA program is broken down into four (4) tracks, Administration, Finance, Human Resources and Operations.

J. Michael Broyles

J. Michael Broyles has been at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority since 2004 and is the Director of Operations and NJDEP Licensed Operator. Prior to joining the staff at BRSA, he was the Chief Operator for the Western Monmouth Utilities Authority. Mike has over 45 years’ experience in the water resource and recovery field and holds S-4 Public Sewage Treatment Operator, C-4 Public Collection System Operator, and T-2 Public Water Treatment Operator licenses.

Chad Sprague

Chad Sprague is the Plant Superintendent of the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been at BRSA since 2021. Prior to his employment at BRSA, he worked for the East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Chad has 20 years of experience in the wastewater treatment field. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and holds S-4 Public Sewage Treatment Operator and C-1 Public Collection System Operator licenses.

Charles P. Theodora Jr.

Charles (Chuck) Theodora is the Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been with BRSA since 2007.  Prior to his employment at BRSA, he worked for the Borough of West Paterson.  He has over 25 years’ experience working in the water and wastewater industry. Chuck holds NJDEP Operator’s Licenses for C-4 Public Sewer Collections, S-2 Public Sewage Treatment, T-1 Public Water Treatment, W-2 Public Water Distribution and a Certified Backflow Prevention Device Inspector.

Steve Spano

Steve Spano is the Assistant Superintendent of Operations at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been with BRSA since 2011. Prior to his employment at BRSA, he worked in various supervisory positions in the commercial contracting field. Steve holds NJDEP Operator’s Licenses for C-1 Public Sewer Collections and S-3 Public Sewage Treatment.

Thomas M. Petti, P.E., CME

Tom Petti is the Principal Engineer at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been with BRSA since 2015. He currently handles all Developer and Capital Improvement Projects including collection system rehabilitation, incinerator upgrades and other treatment plant projects. Tom graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University in 2015, a Master’s Degree in Water Resources & Environmental Engineering in 2017, and holds an NJDEP C-4 Public Sewer Collections Operator’s License. In 2019, Tom acquired his New Jersey Professional Engineer's License (P.E.) and in 2020 completed the NJ Certified Municipal Engineer's program (CME).

Andrew Komorek

Andrew Komorek is the Network and Instrumentation Administrator at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been with BRSA since 2002. Over the last 21 years, he managed various projects in modernizing facility technology. Andrew earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology from New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds the NJDEP Operator’s Licenses for C-2 Public Sewer Collections and S-2 Public Sewage Treatment.

Carlos Nunez

Carlos Nunez is the IT Support Manager at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been with BRSA since 2021. Carlos has over 25 years of experience with Technology and Support and has worked on maintaining the network and communications systems. Carlos is an Electronic Engineer evaluated by the World Education Services in One Battery Park Plaza, New York and holds the CompTIA A+ certification. 

Marilyn Raymundo-Sanchez

Marilyn Raymundo-Sanchez is the Acting Purchasing Agent at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been with BRSA since 2023. Marilyn graduated from Kean University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, a Secondary Education Certification, and a minor in psychology. Marilyn has over 5 years of experience in administrative duties and over 10 years in inventory management. 

Tiffany Cavallaro

Tiffany Cavallaro is the Financial Administrator at the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority and has been with BRSA since 2023. Tiffany graduated from NJCU in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and has over 20 years' experience in business and finance. 

Raquel Dunn

Raquel Dunn joined the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority as the Administrative Assistant / Human Resources Representative in 2023. Raquel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the City University of New York (Staten Island). She has a strong background in administrative and public-facing roles in a variety of industries, as well as several years of experience performing human resources duties and taking on supervisory responsibilities. Raquel looks forward to contributing to BRSA’s continued success.
